BSP's Asia & Pacific Program promoted effective conservation
and management in Asia and the Pacific:
- supporting coalitions for democratic reforms;
- providing technical assistance to USAID and host country governments;
- facilitating processes with multiple stakeholders for conservation
planning and priority-setting;
- supporting scientific research and science-based publications;
- integrating analytical components and cutting-edge thinking into
innovative projects;
- designing conservation trust funds;
- stimulating policy reforms to improve biodiversity governance;
- promoting ecologically sustainable enterprises; and
- building local NGO and community capacity.
