About the Artist: Born in 1957, Kangara studied Education and Fine Art at Kenyatta University in Nairobi. For many years he was a renowned lecturer in art and fashion and widely published on the subject. His paintings were first published by Jacaranda Designs in the title Inkishu Myths and Legends of the Maasai. Kang'ara's art work has been exhibited widely, both in Kenya and overseas and his original paintings are held in public centres and in private collections worldwide. He is the winner of several national art competitions and continues to work as a lecturer and artist.
