As the House of Representatives approaches a vote on the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, the Congressional Budget Office estimates that the costs per household – less than 50 cents per day --- are far below those claimed by opponents of the legislation. The Environmental Protection Agency has reached similar conclusions in a separate analysis, saying that the cap & trade policy would have "a relatively modest impact on U.S. consumers." Read more
