Justification of Ecoregion Delineation
This ecoregion includes the White Sea coast, Chekhskaya Bay and the southern portion of Novaya Zemlya. Mapped ecoregion boundaries correspond to the lowland tundra in the Bol’shezemel’skaya vegetation province in Kurnaev’s (1990) forest map of the USSR.
