Parties for the Planet
Thank you for your interest in getting more involved with World Wildlife Fund. Your involvement will help us build the resources necessary to save wildlife. Over the next few months, Partners Network volunteers will gather with friends and family to learn about our mission to protect nature. Volunteers and their guests will discover that their local participation can have a global impact on conservation. WWF is working to eliminate threats to wildlife and the environment. With continued support from our Partners in Conservation and the Partners Network volunteers, WWF is able to protect gorillas against threats in the Congo; continue to save the Amur tiger; and create a new global treaty that will call for a steep reduction of emissions to reduce global warming. By hosting a "Party for the Planet," you will help World Wildlife Fund build the resources necessary to protect nature's masterpieces. Hosting "Parties for the Planet" isn't complicated. By following a few easy steps (outlined below) and downloading the party toolkit, you can have a fun and successful event. This is great time to raise awareness and help WWF. Thank you for helping to protect the future of our planet! Sincerely, |
Step 1 - Tell us
Email Partners@wwfus.org and let us know that you'd like host an event. We will then add you to our list of volunteer-fundraisers and will contact you before and after your event.
Step 2 - Invite guests
Use our email template to send email invites quickly to your guests (click here to see sample email). Also, making phone calls to invite guests will increase your turnout.
SPECIAL TIP: Creating a host committee will make your party planning experience that much more enjoyable (include friends, family, and neighbors in your host committee).
Step 3 - Create a fundraising goal
Set a goal of how much money you would like to raise at your “Party for the Planet.” The best way to do this is to suggest a contribution amount on your invitation based on your fundraising goal and how many people that you have invited. Partners in Conservation that raise funds at or above the $1,000 level will receive a WWF T-shirt.
SPECIAL TIP: Ask everyone you invite to contribute, even if they cannot attend the party.
Step 4 - Ask guests to become Partners in Conservation
Also, remember to ask all guests to sign-in at your event.
Step 5 - Have a plan
Set up a contribution and sign-in table (forms included in party planning toolkit - click here ). Also designate an area for informational materials on climate change and WWF priority places.
Step 6 - Have Fun!
Thank your guests for coming and doing their part to help WWF in conserving the world’s most threatened places.
Step 7 - After the party
Email us at Partners@wwfus.org and let us know how it went! Also send us pictures from your party and we'll post the best ones on our website. Remember to send all check and credit card contributions (no cash, please!) to:
