Global Lakes and Wetlands Database Request

The global lakes and wetlands database GLWD has been developed in partnership with the Center for Environmental Systems Research, University of Kassel, Germany. It is available for download as three separate ArcView layers (two polygon shapefiles and one grid). The files have been compressed using WinZip (www.winzip.com) and are 46 MB in total size.

GLWD is available for non-commercial scientific, conservation, and educational purposes. Any modification of the original data by users must be noted. By submitting the download request you agree to the regulations of the data disclaimer (PDF, 15k).
