Ecoregions Realms Provinces

All ecoregion, realm, and province boundaries extend to the continental shelf (200m water depth), but the shelf is often a narrow sliver hugging land. Thus, for ease of viewing the maps, the ecoregion boundaries extend to the continental shelf or 100 nautical miles from shore, whichever is larger.

Place your cursor over any subdivision of the map and click to zoom-in for a closer view of the 232 Marine Ecoregions of the World. Each ecoregion is labelled within the magnified map.
