How do I find a WWF mentor?
It is not required that you identify a WWF mentor before completing the on-line application. WWF mentors will be paired with fellowship finalists in the final stages of the selection process. Please visit other parts of the website for more information about the Fuller Fellowship review process. If you are interested in reading more about the research areas of the WWF Conservation Science Program, please visit the Conservation Science section.

Can Fuller Fellows be of any citizenship or WWF employees?
The Kathryn Fuller Science for Nature Fellowship is only open to citizens of one of the following tiger range states: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Russia, Thailand, or Vietnam. WWF employees who meet this citizenship requirement are eligible to apply, but will make up no more than one-third of the final number of fellows selected for funding.

Can I get feedback on my research proposal idea before I submit my application?
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to provide feedback on all of the research proposals that are coming in, so we are refraining from in-depth discussion on any research proposals.

Can applicants be from any discipline?
Yes, the research proposal must address tiger conservation, but applicants may come from a variety of disciplines in the natural and social sciences.

Can I submit my application by email, mail, or fax?
No. We are not accepting applications by email, mail, or fax. All applications must be entered into the online application form.

What do I do if I have applied to a doctoral program but am waiting for an admissions decision?

Applicants who have applied to doctoral programs but have not yet received admissions decisions are eligible to apply for this fellowship. In order to be awarded a Fuller Fellowship, you must send proof of acceptance into the doctoral program to andrea.stauffer@wwfus.org by May 1, 2009.
