What if I don't know if I will finish my PhD before the deadline?
You may submit your application in this round if you think that there is a chance that you will have your degree by August. If it turns out that you did not finish your PhD at the time that fellowships are awarded, you cannot be awarded a fellowship in this round of applications. We encourage you to apply again for future Fellowships once you have been awarded your PhD.
How do I find a WWF mentor?
It is not required that you identify a WWF mentor before completing the on-line application. WWF mentors will be paired with fellowship finalists in the final stages of the selection process. Can Fuller Fellows be of any citizenship?
The Kathryn Fuller Science for Nature Fellowship is open to individuals of all nationalities, unless prohibited by U.S. law
How do I know if my research project is relevant to the WWF mission or programs, or in a WWF priority area?

Can I get feedback on my research proposal idea before I submit my application?
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to provide feedback on all of the research proposals that are coming in, so we are refraining from in depth discussion on any research proposals.
Are there any restrictions on the type of organization where fellows are based?
Proposed research can be conducted at any institution that is willing to accept the terms of the fellowship and provide a letter stating that they are amenable to the terms of the Kathryn Fuller Science for Nature Fellowship.
What if I don't have an institution where I would like to be based?
Applicants may propose to work at WWF-US headquarters or any other research institution, but a specific location where the fellow will be located must be proposed.
Can applicants be from any discipline?
Yes, the research proposal must be of fundamental and immediate importance to global biodiversity conservation, but applicants may come from a variety of disciplines in the natural and social sciences.
Does the Kathryn Fuller Science for Nature Program support graduate study?
The Kathryn Fuller Science for Nature Program does not support graduate study. There are other WWF programs, such as the Education for Nature program (http://www.wwf-efn.org/) that may be of interest to individuals pursuing graduate study.
Can I submit my application by email, mail, or fax?
No, we are not accepting applications by email, mail, or fax. All applications must be entered into the online application form.
