As a consultant, Palminteri developed an interactive guide to ecoregion planning, assisted with training workshops on conservation planning in several WWF priority ecoregions, and helped train WWF collaborators in data collection, analysis, and communication. She also developed geographic information system training documentation and led training workshops for conservation students and professionals in Latin America through a multi-year project with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Previously, she assisted with research projects on macaws in Costa Rica and wading birds in Brazil. She received her M.S. in Environmental Management from Duke University.
