Congratulations to the winners of the WWF 50th Anniversary Photo Contest

Thank you for helping WWF celebrate 50 years of conservation results by sharing with us what inspires you the most about the world around us. Through the nearly 10,000 photos submitted in to the contest, our 50th Anniversary Photo Contest showcased the beauty of the natural world we all care about and want to protect for future generations.

The public has chosen the grand prize winners in the three categories of wildlife, wild places, and people connecting with nature.

Grand Prize Winners

Near Arenal Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica - These really cute birds look pitiful because of the “dry season” drenching rain. What could be a better contest entry? The birds are Blue-gray Tanagers.

Canyonlands National Park, Utah - This was one of the most amazing sunrises I've ever seen. The sun broke over the mountains, the light filled the valley and the arch took care of the rest!

Ailiak Glacier, Alaska - After being dropped off a quarter mile away from our cabin near Ailiak Glacier, our guide towed the kayaks to a better landing spot in the still, glassy waters of the Alaskan wilderness.
