Travel with World Wildlife Fund

Visiting spectacular wildlife destinations is important in raising awareness of conservation issues. Many of our travelers tell us they’ve returned from WWF tours feeling passionate about saving critical environments – and have taken action to help protect them.

Physically getting to the world’s top wildlife-viewing destinations, though, contributes to global greenhouse gas levels, which in turn adds to the challenges of conservation. We’re the first to admit this is a pretty tough dilemma.

One solution is carbon offsets. WWF encourages travelers to offset the carbon emissions from their air travel by purchasing carbon offset credits. Our travelers have shared many stories with us about different ways they have chosen to offset their emissions, from supporting efforts that directly benefit their communities, to contributing to projects underway halfway across the world. However you choose to offset your flight emissions is up to you, but we do hope that you will consider this as you finalize travel plans.
