WWF Fish “YES” List

Marine Stewardship Council
Founded in 1997 by Unilever and WWF to promote responsible fishing practices worldwide.

WWF's Fish "Yes" List helps you make smarter decisions when purchasing seafood. Many fish species are threatened by overfishing. Our list outlines which fish currently have healthy populations and are acceptable to consume:

  • Halibut - Alaska/Canada
  • Striped Bass - Atlantic
  • Squid - Pacific "market"
  • Albacore - Pacific
  • Mahi-mahi
  • Rock Lobster - West Australian
  • Spot Prawn- West Coast U.S.
  • Dungeness crab
  • Caviar - farmed U.S.
  • Salmon - wild Alaskan
