Protection, standardized trade and sustainable practice key to management: We are working with the Department of Fisheries Sabah to improve the management of the live reef fishery and trade in Sabah. Studies conducted in Semporna and Kudat determined the main players, locations and species traded to better understand the issues. A management plan for the entire trade is being developed while provisions for complying with the CITES listing of the humphead wrasse are being developed.
