Who We Are
Equal Employment Opportunity
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) promotes affirmative action to assure equal employment opportunities for all qualified individuals regardless of age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
In the administration of its employment policies and practices, WWF does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, age, personal appearance, family responsibilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, matriculation, or political affiliation.
In addition to meeting its obligations of nondiscrimination under federal and District of Columbia law, WWF is committed to being an organization in which a diverse staff can work in an environment of tolerance, civility, and respect for the rights of each individual. WWF expects that all employees will share the organization's commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and participate in the implementation of WWF's affirmative action efforts.
WWF has undertaken to demonstrate its continuing adherence to the principles of equal employment and to promote its policy of nondiscrimination in employment.
If an employee feels that he/she has experienced employment-related discrimination, he/she should report the incident promptly to the supervisor. If an employee believes that it would be inappropriate to discuss the matter with the supervisor, he/she should report the matter to the Vice President, Head of Office, or Human Resources.
Once made aware of a complaint, WWF is committed to commencing a prompt, thorough investigation of allegations. The complaint will be kept confidential to the extent possible. If at the conclusion of the investigation, WWF determines that unlawful discrimination has occurred, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the offending employee(s), up to and including termination.
WWF prohibits any form of retaliation against any employee for filing a bona fide complaint under this policy or for assisting in a complaint investigation. However, if after investigating a complaint, WWF determines that false information has been provided, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the offending employee(s), up to and including termination.
