Justification of Ecoregion Delineation

The Nullarbor Plains Xeric Shrubland includes the ‘Nullarbor’ IBRA, and is characterized by its unusual limestone substrate and uniform, treeless vegetation, mostly widespread saltbush and bluebush shrubs (Thackway and Cresswell 1995).
