Justification of Ecoregion Delineation
This ecoregion concentrates in large patches north of the Altai Mountains in south western Siberia. Mapped ecoregion boundaries correspond to the forest steppe zone within the West Siberian forest province in Kurnaev’s (1990) forest map of the USSR.
