As a member of the WWF Impact investment team, Struan works on all aspects of the deal process. With a focus on the aquaculture portfolio, he conducts research on emerging markets and innovative technologies, identifies companies driving catalytic change, and applies a conservation lens to the early-stage investment landscape. He works closely with experts across the WWF global network to ensure that WWF Impact’s work supports the organization’s broader goals.

Before joining WWF, Struan managed applied research projects at the University of Maine. In this role, he built and managed an experimental shellfish and seaweed farm, as well as evaluated the biological and economic feasibility of novel aquaculture production methods. Struan also had the opportunity to work closely with early-stage shellfish farmers, helping founders develop business plans and scale operations. Struan has published his research in leading academic journals.
