JENNIFER VOGEL is a highly successful corporate executive with over 25 years of leadership experience. She served in executive positions with Continental Airlines, Inc. for over 15 years—as senior vice president, general counsel, secretary, and chief compliance officer. In 2013, Vogel cofounded InVista Advisors. InVista provides advisory services to organizations seeking to maximize the effectiveness of their legal teams, including legal department leadership and structuring, compliance program development, crisis readiness, and risk management. She currently serves on the board of AAR Corp., a leading provider of aviation services; and American Science and Engineering, Inc., a provider of innovative x-ray detection systems and services—and she serves on the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee (chair for AS&E) and Compensation Committee of each. She formerly served on the boards of Virgin America, American Science and Engineering, and Clearwire Corporation. Vogel also serves on the board of trustees of St. John’s School in Houston, serving on the Audit (chair) and Facilities committees. She was named worldwide General Counsel of the Year at the 2010 global counsel awards, the first woman to ever receive this honor. She was recognized in 2010 and 2008 as one of the “Most Powerful and Influential Women in Texas” by the Texas Diversity Council and Texas Diversity Magazine. Prior to joining Continental, Vogel served as vice president and general counsel of Enron Global Power & Pipelines, L.L.C. She began her career at Vinson & Elkins LLP, specializing in mergers and securities offerings.
