NICHOLAS LAPHAM is President of the BAND Foundation, a family philanthropy that supports natural resource conservation and epilepsy research in the United States and abroad. Nick previously held senior professional positions at World Wildlife Fund, African Parks Foundation, Conservation International and the United Nations Foundation. During the Clinton administration, he served as a senior advisor to the White House Climate Change Task Force and special assistant to the Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans, Environment and Science. Lapham is a trustee of College of the Atlantic, Friends of Kenya Wildlife Trust and the Virunga Fund Inc. He and his family own and operate an organic vegetable farm in Rappahannock County, Virginia.
