NICK BUTCHER is a senior managing director and vice chairman of infrastructure and energy at the investment bank Macquarie Capital. He oversees a global team specializing in large-scale infrastructure project development and financing that includes transportation, renewable energy, and energy infrastructure projects. With a lifelong passion for the environment and its conservation, Butcher has been involved in a range of environmental causes in the United States and internationally. He is chairman of the board of Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy, a charitable organization focused on the conservation of threatened wildlife and ecosystems in Australia. Butcher has a bachelor of laws and bachelor of commerce (finance) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He enjoys travel, the outdoors, and sports, especially snow skiing and trail running. He lives in New York with his wife and two daughters.
