Chief of Staff
Paul Hardy serves as Chief of Staff for WWF’s President and CEO Carter Roberts, providing management support to his conservation and institutional priorities. He manages the Innovation Fund, which targets large scale conservation projects and experimental initiatives that create momentum for WWF’s new strategy and structure. Paul joined WWF in February 2010 as the Director of Strategic Planning for WWF’s Latin America and Caribbean Program where he helped to manage the team of 300 WWF staff spread across 15 countries. He worked with WWF teams on large-scale conservation projects that addressed the growing threats to rainforests, fisheries, island systems and the region’s expansive wetlands. Paul began his conservation career with WWF over 20 years ago as a junior staff member in the same program. In the intervening time, he managed field programs for The Nature Conservancy, ending a thirteen year career there as a deputy director for TNC’s global policy program, obtained an MBA and a Master of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Michigan, had three kids and renovated a 125 year old historic home close to WWF’s headquarters in downtown Washington.
