Remembering Victoria Post Sant

Vicki Sant, a member of the WWF National Council for 20 years and a pivotal figure in WWF’s growth over the past several decades, died on December 11, 2018. Along with her husband, longtime WWF Board member Roger Sant, Vicki championed some of WWF’s most important and successful conservation work—including ARPA (Amazon Region Protected Areas) for Life, an initiative to permanently protect 15% of the Brazilian rainforest; and Bhutan for Life, a fund to permanently protect Bhutan’s network of protected areas. Vicki was also devoted to conservation work in the Mesoamerican Reef, as well as the arts, education, and the empowerment of girls and women around the world.

Vicki will be lovingly remembered and forever missed, particularly as we heed her words of advice and encouragement in pursuit of our work with people around the world.
