Colorful macro photo of snail on branch

Bulgarian photographer Georgi Georgiev began photographing insects while studying ecology in college. On research field trips, he found himself mesmerized by the hidden lives of invertebrates and has since worked to capture the beauty of their unique traits, behaviors, and habitats. “I try to show the surrounding world of these small creatures as magical as it is in my imagination,” he says of his dreamlike macrophotography.
