Heritage Colombia (HECO)

Heritage Colombia is an ambitious initiative to expand, secure, and sustainably finance a significant portion of Colombia’s natural landscapes, seascapes, and biodiversity.

Through the Project Finance for Permanence (PFP) model, Heritage Colombia (HECO) unites Colombia’s government, WWF, local communities, and a host of other partners to secure long-term and reliable funding for the management and protection of Colombia’s natural resources and wildlife.

Heritage Colombia has also expanded a regional cluster of PFPs that provide sustainable management and protection for about 12% of the Amazon as well as important stretches of the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea.
