2015 Partners Symposium: In Photos

Three weeks ago, WWF hosted its 2nd annual Partners Symposium at WWF headquarters in Washington, DC. Sixty Partners in Conservation from around the country came together for two days of learning and discussion with WWF experts, scientists and partners.

  • Each session was an opportunity to not only listen to updates about WWF’s conservation work but also to interact with WWF leaders, ask questions and delve deep into the issues.

  • The Symposium also offered time for small breakout sessions. During an Innovation Workshop, small groups helped generate ideas about how we can better communicate our conservation goals to engage a larger portion of the American public.

  • Partners also had the opportunity to attend a Wildlife Technology Expo where they got an up-close look at some of the cutting-edge technologies, like Google glass, that are helping to innovate conservation.

  • The first day wrapped up with a reception and dinner in the atrium of WWF’s headquarters building—giving Partners a chance to unwind, network and learn about the CARE-WWF Alliance and its work to create a sustainable future for rural communities that live

  • The next day, Partners had the opportunity to participate in one of two excursions. This group headed to Capitol Hill and, after a briefing, met with representatives from key congressional offices about the importance of international conservation.

  • Others traveled to the Embassy of France for a screening of Disruption, a climate change documentary, followed by a panel discussion about climate change policy.
