The final balance is due 90 days prior to departure. For those who paid their deposits by credit card, the final balance will be charged automatically on that date to the credit card on file for you. For those who wish to pay the final payment by check, the check is due on or before 90 days prior to departure and should be made out to Natural Habitat Adventures, WWF’s tour operator for this program. If your payment is not received by the due date, the reservation is subject to cancellation.

Cancellations processed 90 or more calendar days prior to departure will result in a $100 cancellation fee per person. Cancellations made within 45 to 89 calendar days prior to departure will result in a loss of 50% of the entire program fee, including extensions. Cancellations made within 44 calendar days prior to departure will result in a loss of the entire program fee.
Singles & shares: Travelers who would prefer a single room (not available on some trips or portions of some trips) may have one at a single-room surcharge. We cannot always guarantee single accommodations even after reservations and confirmations have been made. We will be happy to attempt to make a roommate match for those who choose. If we cannot arrange a match, only 50% of the single supplement fee will apply.
What to expect: Rating: Easy. This expedition requires very little walking. The vehicles used to get to the tundra can sometimes offer a bumpy ride. Please note that the polar bears are waiting for Hudson Bay to freeze, and when it does, many of them depart. Historically, this has been in early December, but an unusually early cold spell may occur, hastening their departure.
Getting there & getting home: In case of flight or weather delays, we recommend that you arrive a day early and either participate in Natural Habitat Adventures' "Extra Day in Winnipeg" program or stay on your own. Our small group tour begins with a 7 p.m. welcome dinner on Day 1. You are free to depart at any time on the final day. It is highly recommended that Natural Habitat Adventures' Travel Desk makes your flight reservations for you, as its staff is intimately familiar with the special requirements of this tour and can arrange the most efficient and cost-effective travel for you. A small, per-person booking fee may apply. Please call 800-543-8917.
Trip insurance: We highly recommend that travelers protect themselves by participating in an accredited travel insurance protection plan. Natural Habitat Adventures will include a quote for a non-refundable, full coverage travel protection plan on the invoice you receive immediately after booking your trip; you may decline this insurance, if desired. More information will be sent to registrants.
