Conservation Insider Series: Building on 2016 Wildlife Wins
In 2016, we marked critical victories for some of Earth’s most iconic and beloved species. We celebrated the news that for the first time in a century, global wild tiger numbers are on the rise. The US adopted new regulations that will largely end the commercial elephant ivory trade in the US. And, in October, during the world’s largest ever wildlife trade meeting—CITES—governments agreed to provide greater protection to a number of threatened species, including rhinos, sharks, and pangolins.
In this webinar with Ginette Hemley, senior vice president, Wildlife Conservation, learn what these successes mean for the future of wildlife conservation and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
