Happy New Year from WWF

For many, the new year is a time for reflection—a time to ponder the successes and challenges of the past year. At WWF, we’re taking stock of all the accomplishments made possible in 2016 by your generous and enduring commitment to global conservation. And, we want to say thank you.

In 2016, with your help, we marked critical victories for the diversity of life on Earth. We pushed for new regulations to help shut down the illegal elephant ivory trade in the US and help end wildlife crime overseas. We saw a historic and pivotal global climate agreement enter into force. We equipped rangers in Africa with sophisticated technology to seek out poachers and protect elephants and rhinos. We saw global wild tiger numbers rise for the first time in a century, and we helped ensure permanent protection for many of the Arctic’s most important marine areas.

Together, we are building a brighter future and a better tomorrow.

Happy New Year!
