What to expect: To fully enjoy the program’s marine life- and wildlife-viewing opportunities, WWF travelers should be fit, in good health and able to participate in moderately strenuous activities. You should be an experienced snorkeler who is comfortable being in waters with moderately swift currents and should have the ability to stay in the water for an hour or more at a time. You also need to be able to pull yourself up from the water and into a small boat or Zodiac landing craft via a ladder. Nature walks could be up to one mile over uneven terrain during hot and humid conditions. Temperatures generally range from 75-90 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity. Water temperatures are usually in the 80s.
Please note: The snorkeling destinations in this itinerary were selected based on professional assessments of the reefs in February 2014. Please be aware that climatic events, such as storms or coral bleaching, may occur at any time and could adversely affect the reefs. While we will do everything possible to adhere to this itinerary, occasional weather conditions and/or local events may necessitate deviations.Tour organizers will continue to monitor conditions and provide timely updates to registrants when relevant.
Trip insurance: We suggest that travelers protect themselves by purchasing trip insurance; it is not required for this tour but highly recommended. You can purchase insurance at any point before your departure, but there may be a benefit to purchasing it now. For instance, policies usually exclude coverage for preexisting medical conditions, but this exclusion is frequently waived if you purchase your insurance within two weeks of your booking date.
