Lobby Day 2017: Logistics and Resources

WWF Lobby Day is right around the corner and we can’t wait to see you in Washington, D.C., as you join your fellow advocates to impress upon your representatives how important continued US government funding for international conservation, stopping the illegal wildlife trade, and positive climate action, are to you. Below are most of the logistical information you will need for Lobby Day Training on Monday, March 13th, and Lobby Day itself on Tuesday, March 14th. Please note that you will receive your Hill meeting schedules at the Lobby Day Training on Monday, March 13th.

Lobby Day Training Agenda: Monday, March 13, 2017

Lobby Day Training will take place at WWF Headquarters. All events will take place in the Conference Center on the 2nd Floor. When you enter the building, please proceed to the 2nd Floor Reception area and you will be directed to registration.

Lobby Day Agenda: Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Next, here is the agenda for Lobby Day itself. As a reminder, you will receive your Hill meeting schedules at the training on Monday, March 13th, which will provide more details for where to go for the 9:00 am to 4:00 pm block of time. We will gather at WWF Headquarters in the morning and then hop in shuttles to drive down to the Hill for our meetings!

Arrive WWF for Coffee and Bagels

Depart WWF on shuttle for Capitol Hill

 

9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Meetings with Members of Congress

  • Your team lead will ensure you receive lunch in between meetings. On Monday at the training, you will receive a voucher for lunch in either the House or Senate cafeteria.

5:00-7:00 pm

Lobby Day Reception at the Senate Foreign Relations Hearing Room, 419 Dirksen Senate Office Building

 

Dress code: Business attire (we recommend wearing nice, but comfortable shoes)

Transportation will be provided for you to/from Capitol Hill on March 14th. However, the closest metro stations to WWF are the Dupont Circle stop on the Red line or the Foggy Bottom metro stop on the Blue/Orange/Silver lines.
