Lobby Day 2020: Logistics and Resources

WWF Lobby Day is right around the corner, and we can't wait to see you in Washington, DC, as you join your fellow advocates to impress upon your representatives how important it is to you that the US government continues to fund international conservation, including efforts to combat the illegal wildlife trade and programs to help developing countries address climate change. Below is most of the logistical information you will need for Lobby Day Training on Monday, March 9, and for Lobby Day itself, on Tuesday, March 10.

Please note that you will receive your Hill meeting schedules via the AdvocacyDay App on Monday, March 9th. We will send separate instructions for how to download and login to the AdvocacyDay App.

Lobby Day Training Agenda: Monday, March 9, 2020

Lobby Day Training will take place at WWF Headquarters. All events will take place in the Conference Center on the 2nd Floor. When you enter the building, please proceed to the 2nd-floor reception area and you will be directed to registration.

Dress code: Casual to business casual attire.

To bring:

  • Laptop or tablet: We are going to be paperless this year at Lobby Day and Lobby Day Training, so please bring a device to take notes.
  • Lobby Day tote bag: If you attended a previous Lobby Day, please help us be eco-friendly by bringing back your reusable Lobby Day tote bag. If this is your first Lobby Day experience, we will provide you with a Lobby Day tote bag.

Lobby Day Agenda: Tuesday, March 10, 2020

Next, here is the agenda for Lobby Day itself. As a reminder, you will receive your Hill meeting schedules at the training on Monday, March 9th which will provide more details for where to go for the 9:00 am to 5:00 pm block of time. We will gather at WWF Headquarters in the morning and then your team leader will take you via metro to the Hill for our meetings.  We will provide you with pre-paid metro cards.

Dress code: Business attire. However, we will be providing WWF t-shirts for everyone to wear under a blazer.

To bring:

  • Laptop or tablet: We are going to be paperless this year at Lobby Day and Lobby Day Training, so please bring a device to take notes.
  • Water bottle: To stay hydrated!
  • Umbrella: Just in case, to stay dry!
  • Nice, but comfortable shoes: There is a fair amount of walking on Lobby Day, so come prepared.
