What to expect: You should be an experienced snorkeler with the ability to stay in the water for an hour or more at a time. Air temperatures average 80 to 90° F, with high humidity that’s sometimes tempered by sea breezes. Water temperatures average 79 to 82 °F. Currents and tides may necessitate deviations from the daily itinerary; the guide and assistants will monitor conditions. We recommend bringing a snorkel vest if you feel you need one. Nature walks could be up to one mile over uneven and slippery terrain; the hike to Jellyfish Lake in Palau is steep and slippery, taking 20 minutes. You also should be comfortable ascending and descending a long set of stairs to get from the Yap Pacific Dive Resort to the dock and back on Yap; transport by vehicle to and from the dock is available, however, for those needing it. Transport during the tour is by motor coach, airplane and boat.
Singles & shares: Single accommodations are limited, subject to availability at the time of booking and cannot be guaranteed. If you would like to share a room, we will attempt to find a roommate for you. If we are unable to find a roommate by the final invoice date, the single supplement will be assessed.
Airfare: Asia Transpacific Journeys can book your international flights in conjunction with this tour. The round-trip, economy class fare from the U.S. West Coast is approximately $1,750 (subject to change). For more information, please call 800-642-2742.
Trip insurance: Travel insurance is highly recommended; information will be sent to registrants. Exclusions for preexisting medical conditions may be waived with the prompt purchase of travel insurance.
