Doubletree Hotels by Hilton

In fall 2006, Doubletree featured WWF in the hotel brand’s award-winning “Teaching Kids to CARE” program. Using a “Wild for Wildlife” themed lesson plan developed in conjunction with WWF, Doubletree employees volunteered their time to teach more than 10,000 children in 140 cities across the U.S and Canada about the importance of saving endangered species from extinction, and symbolically adopted 2,500 animals through WWF’s Species Adoption Center. Doubletree secured a media tour, radio spot, and a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal. To further show their support, Doubletree donated $1 to WWF for every reservation made on for one month. The symbolic adoptions combined with the reservations resulted in a donation of $100,000 to WWF.
