Shrimp fishery, Gulf of California, Mexico. One of the most important fisheries in Mexico. WWF works on making shrimp fisheries in the Gulf more sustainable and reducing bycatch of Vaquita porpoise through testing and implementation of more selective fishing gear and ecosystem based management. Notice the Turtle Excluder Device in the upper part of the net, mandatory in shrimp fisheries.
