WWF Statement on NASA and NOAA 2019 Temperature Analysis

In response to today’s findings released by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), World Wildlife Fund (WWF) issued the following statement from Rebecca Shaw, chief scientist:

“The findings confirm the past decade has been the hottest on record and is yet another stark reminder that the climate crisis is here. From Australia’s catastrophic brushfires, to more frequent extreme weather events in the US, to rapidly warming oceans, the effects across the globe are devastating.

“We can fight this threat. We can build a safer, healthier, and more resilient future for people and nature, but we have to act now.”
