WWF Statement on the Senate Agriculture Committee’s Passage of the Farm Bill

In response to the Senate Committee on Agriculture’s passage of 2018 Farm Bill, World Wildlife Fund released the following statement from Dr. Melinda Cep, senior director of policy for its Markets and Food program.

“The Committee put out a marker that strong bipartisan investments in conservation need to be a part of the final Farm Bill.  These investments help protect America’s grasslands and the health of essential wildlife habitat, soil, water and our climate.

“As this bill moves to the floor, we urge the Senate to follow Senator Klobuchar's leadership by further strengthening the Sodsaver policy and committing to keeping America’s grasslands intact.”
