A village in Greenland and its growing threats from polar bears

As the Arctic warms and their sea ice hunting grounds shrink, polar bears near the village of Ittoqqortoormiit (pronounced it-ockor-tormit) are drawn to the smells of the town, posing a serious threat to people there. Incidents are increasing as sea ice continues to shrink due to climate change. To keep residents safe and polar bears at bay, WWF helps run regular polar bear patrols in the village.
