Meet Kate, a 21 year old rancher whose family is on the frontlines of sustainable ranching. America’s Northern Great Plains is the most endangered ecosystem in the United States and it urgently needs protection. Nearly 94 million acres in the NGP remain as privately managed intact grasslands and ranchers like Kate’s family are stewards of these lands. WWF is working with ranchers in the NGP to help keep grasslands intact. When ranchers manage land for long-term ecosystem health, both people and wildlife will benefit.
