Nelson Barragán has seen much upheaval and change over the decades. But he sees himself as living in a paradise. On the 42,000 acres his family owns in the Orinoco River basin of eastern Colombia, ranching and ecotourism go hand in hand. Along with cattle, the land is home to ibises, jaguars and other species.
