Snow leopard cubs play in the mountains of Mongolia

Snow leopards are extremely hard to study. In fact, less than five percent of snow leopard habitat has been surveyed of this elusive species. In this rare footage of the ‘ghost of the mountains’, two snow leopard cubs play in the Altai-Sayan Mountains of Mongolia. WWF is partnering with snow leopard range countries to help estimate snow leopard numbers. WWF also works to protect this big cat from the threats posed by poaching, human-wildlife conflict, climate change, and habitat loss and degradation.
