Today, an increasingly crowded world has led to habitat loss and fragmentation and escalating competition for resources, resulting in more frequent and negative interactions between humans and wildlife. Human-wildlife conflict is a complex and escalating global conservation challenge, but also a significant livelihood issue for rural people in developing countries. It also poses significant risks to the survival of many species.
