Dominic Andradi-Brown
Director, Blue Forests
Dr. Dominic Andradi-Brown is Director of Blue Forests on WWF’s Oceans Team, where he leads global efforts to conserve, restore, and sustainably manage coastal blue forest ecosystems—including mangroves, seagrasses, and saltmarshes. Working at the intersection of science, conservation, restoration, and sustainable finance, he develops practical tools, projects, and partnerships that support effective and scalable nature-based solutions for coastal resilience and biodiversity conservation.
Dominic plays an active role in global conservation collaborations, including serving on the steering committee of the Global Mangrove Alliance and contributing to the IUCN Mangrove Specialist Group. His work focuses on advancing innovative approaches to protect and restore coastal ecosystems while delivering benefits for people, biodiversity, and climate. Dominic brings a strong scientific foundation to this work, with extensive experience in marine conservation research, monitoring, and evaluation. He completed his D.Phil. at the University of Oxford, where he studied fish ecology and conservation on mesophotic coral reefs. He also holds an MRes in Biodiversity Informatics and Genomics and a BSc in Ecology and Environmental Biology from Imperial College London.
