As a lead specialist at WWF, Giavanna Grein identifies and implements opportunities for strategic engagement with the private sector to develop high-impact partnerships to both conserve wildlife and strengthen business operations.
She is the global lead of the Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking Online, which unites more than 40 global technology companies like Google, Meta, eBay, and TikTok to reduce wildlife trafficking through web-based platforms. Giavanna previously supported the development of the USAID ROUTES Partnership, empowering the transport sector to reduce wildlife trafficking in its operations. She also works with law enforcement agencies to complement private sector approaches.
Giavanna earned her BS in Environmental Science & Studies from Towson University and MS in Sustainability Management through American University’s Kogod School of Business.
