The anti-corruption potential of beneficial ownership transparency and implications for natural resources

This TNRC event, hosted by the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center (TraCCC), highlighted the rapidly changing landscape around beneficial ownership regulations and the importance of beneficial ownership information for improving conservation outcomes. The panel featured Michele Kuruc, Vice President of Ocean Policy at WWF-US, Elise Bean, former Staff Director and Chief Counsel for the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Sol Krause, Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer for the Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative at the World Bank/UNODC, and Louise Russell-Prywata, Director of Policy and Programmes at Open Ownership, moderated by Louise Shelley, Director of TraCCC.
