World Wildlife Fund was established in 1961 by a group of passionate and committed individuals who sought to secure the funding necessary to protect places and species threatened by human development. Since 1986, this building has served as the headquarters for WWF in the US. It was designed to save resources, reduce waste and pollution, and use donated funds efficiently. The building holds a LEED Platinum Certification and features one of the largest green roofs in Washington, DC. While we don’t offer in-person tours, we invite you to take a virtual building tour.
