Andy Kempler and Brandon Vu on supporting WWF

How do you connect with nature?
Brandon and I have been fortunate to have been able to travel to see amazing landscapes and wildlife. We don’t have any kids, so it’s how we choose to use our savings and spend our time. One inspiring trip was to Tanzania, where we got to see wildebeest migrating on a safari. I feel so lucky to have been able to witness such a natural wonder. It makes me want to protect these wild animals and wild places—and all the communities that rely on these spaces as well.
Why do you value your connection to WWF?
With WWF, I’ve been able to meet many people, both staff and other supporters, who share an interest in protecting animals and natural places. It’s a good feeling to be involved in and support an organization focused on making our world a better, more sustainable place for all. Volunteering our time for our community is incredibly important to me and Brandon. So, participating in WWF’s Lobby Day was a memorable moment for me. During the pandemic, when everyone and everything was online, I had the opportunity to speak virtually to my representatives about environmental concerns that are important to me and WWF.
Why have you stuck with WWF?
I became a member more than 30 years ago because I wanted to do good and help save animals and their habitats. WWF has consistently proved that it has the staff and the heart to make a real difference. Brandon and I are thankful to be Partners and Legacy Circle members because it means we play a small part in the work that WWF is doing to protect our planet for future generations.
Andy Kempler and his spouse, Brandon Vu, (left to right), live in Southern California, where they’re actively engaged in their local community. They’ve been dedicated WWF supporters for the entirety of their 30-year relationship. Both are now WWF Leadership Partners—a select group of champions for nature who support WWF’s mission—and Legacy Circle members who protect the future of nature by including WWF in their estate plans.
