Mangroves
WWF is working around the world on mangrove restoration and conservation.
Mangroves play a critical role in fighting climate change, protecting coastlines, and providing habitat to wildlife. There are more than 60 different species of mangrove trees growing along waterlogged coastlines in tropical and subtropical regions. Their strong and complex root systems protect coastal communities and landscapes from extreme weather events.
