Dr. Andrew Deutz is the Managing Director, Global Policy and Partnerships at WWF. With three decades of experience in multilateral environmental diplomacy, Andrew works to drive transformative change with governments, international institutions, multilateral development banks, and global policy processes to advance WWF’s mission.

Before joining WWF, was the Managing Director for Global Policy and Conservation Finance at The Nature Conservancy, leading TNC’s global policy work on climate change, biodiversity, sustainable development and conservation finance, as well as overseeing relationships with multilateral institutions. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at IUCN, as well as advisory roles with the US State Department and the World Bank. He is the lead author of the 2020 Financing Nature report, and holds a doctorate in International Environmental Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing with his kids and trail running with his dog.
