Annelise Adrian

Senior Program Officer, Plastics and Material Science

Annelise Adrian is a Senior Program Officer with the Plastics and Material Science Team at World Wildlife Fund.

Annelise holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver, where her graduate thesis examined environmental and health risks of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in single-use plastics. She also earned dual Bachelor's degrees in International Politics and French Studies from Pepperdine University. 

In addition to her work in plastics and waste, Annelise has several years of experience in the international development sector, where she led the design of global governance programs and contributed to policy toolkits and research on anti-corruption, transparency, kleptocracy, and democratic governance.

She currently serves as Project Manager for Plastic Reboot, a global initiative supported by the Global Environment Facility and co-led by WWF and the United Nations Environment Programme.
